Expression through bling

Personality is so important.  Tell me who you are.  The way you laugh.  The tilt of your face when flirting.  Intensity of fire in your angry eyes.  Those little signs of your secret identity.

I can tell so much about I person by what they adorn themselves with.  Simple pearls can be a clue to a classy dame or understated intellect.  Big, chunky pieces......possibly a bold and outgoing person.  Neon baubles in a variety of shapes and sizes.....fun and flirty.

When I first started Ardore Donna Designs, I took some pieces out to my Father.  After going through my stash....he was quiet for a moment.  This frightened me.  Than he spoke words that changed my company forever (a fact that will come to light once my upcoming 3 lines are introduced).  He said, "Each piece is beautiful and I can see you wearing them.  If you want to build your own personal collection than you are way ahead of the game.  However, if you want to make money at this.....sell to others.....than what your lacking is variety.  Embrace what others would wear.  (Apparently, not every one is a snooty, rare gem lover with child size wrists and fingers.....go figure  :-). )  Watch and make notes.  Think, explore and create outside the box."

Boy, I was stunned.  But he was right.  Fortunately for my clients, when I think outside the box.....I tear down the walls and get crazy.

Wearable Candy

My job is part work, part creativity and part fun.  Especially our new line being created for Axial Photography's upcoming "Eye Candy" shoot.

My job was to make each piece appear....yummy, delicious.....edible.

It never gets boring.....when each day brings new prospects and something exciting to create.

I just have to remind myself not to bite the necklace!

Recently my niece approached me about a custom belly ring  (NOT shown, the one above is someone else's piercing).

It got me thinking.......there are many areas of bling I have not branched out to.....YET.  I shall fear NO medium or design, nor turn my back on any request.....at least not without researching it first.

I sent her a drawing, she sent me one and in the end, I selected hers.....I wanted her to love the piece.

So now comes the question.....should I explore other piercings?  Absolutely!!!!

I love giving people what they want.  So, why not?

Planning my new line of piercing as I blog.....just you wait and see.

Accessories

Put a little pep in your step.  I don't care how cute the blouse is....or what the price tag was on your jeans....it's the extra's that make you bling.

I am a bit of a shoe junkie myself.  But let's not leave out a great handbag and of course....dangles of gold and silver.....yes those tiny bits of perfection...kissing your ear, tickling your wrist or nibbling at your neck.

I have always loved a completed puzzle.  Perhaps that lends an explanation to my obsession with bling.  Perhaps.

So as you reach out for the keys.....slip a ring on your finger and face the day Complete.

Bada-Bling

Nothing sells like the "shiny" stuff.   I repeat, nothing sells like the "shiny" stuff.  I myself suffer from this weakness....though on occasion have tried to deny it.

To prove this point, I made several pieces.....minus bling and than repeated the process including bling.  Guess which line people ran to?

Despite what they want us to believe.....men carry this desire as well.  Just pull up in a "shiny" new car and watch their eyes dance.

So, in the spirit of keeping you happy....along side our new men's line.....we will be introducing our gem line and additions to our crystal line.

Now if I can just make myself put it all up for sell.....rather than keeping it.  :-)  That would be impressive!
